William Earl New, my first cousin, will be in his final resting place today, with his son, Joshua New and his mother (my mother's sister and my aunt "Bae") Audrey Pearl Reynolds New. Having lost both our mother's this past year, the pain of losing another family member so soon, is so emotional and yet a time for talking about the good memories we all have. Memories bring smiles to our faces, or tears to our eyes, and sometimes both at the same time. Losing a loved one is devastating, but we have all been left with a special gift – our memories. They are often the only things we have left after that special person is gone. Though at times they may be painful to think about, with pictures and memories, our loved ones remain a part of us forever. Take comfort in your memories, for they will indeed be a part of you forever.Memories are Forever - What the heart has once known, it shall never forget. And always remember, as Helen Keller once said: “What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
